Swift foot running camp will educate runners on proper form and technique to avoid injuries and develop a love of running that will stay with them! Young runners are vulnerable to developing poor habits that can impact their success and enjoyment of running. At the Swift Foot Running Camp we will focus on breaking bad habits like heels striking, over use of the arms and negative mental thought while running. Our experienced coaches have developed a program that will ensure every level of runner–from beginner to advanced–will benefit and mature through the camp!
TRAINING APPROACH
Education – Teaching various techniques needed to become a successful, more injury free runner.
Explanation – Coaches explain why each technique will help runners and what each individual change does to improve performance and times.
Endurance – Fun games and water balloon fights are used to develop muscles, improve form and reduce injuries.
NEW this year is the addition of Yoga to increase muscle strength and flexibility!!
Echoing – Throughout each day we will focus on proper form and mindset to encourage good habits and a positive attitude about one’s running that will continue long after camp ends.
Please bring plenty of water and a snack daily.
