When is the Cross Country season?
The regular season is September through the beginning of November and is over after the USATF Championship in December.
When is practice?
Practices are Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays from 6 to about 7:00. We will have optional practices on Saturday morning on the weeks we do not have a meet.
I don't know if I want to join, can I come to a few practices before committing?
Absolutely! Pre-season practices begin in mid-July. Contact us or join our Facebook page to get more information on early practice dates.
Will we practice in the rain?
If it is a light rain and no lightening we will likely have practice. If it is a heavy rain and cold, we might take the night off. Always use your best judgment, weather is unpredictable.
What are the age groups and birth date cut off?
The age groups are: 8 & under, 9 & 10, 11 & 12, 13 & 14 and 15 & up. The age division is determined by the athlete's age on December 31 of the current year.
What is the distance of the races?
2k for 8 & under, 3k for 9 through 12 and 4k for 13 & 14.
How much is registration?
Registration is $240 with uniform, $200 without uniform. Registration covers entry into all meets, end of season party and gift and administration fees.
Where do I buy running shoes?
Big Peach Running gives our athletes a 10% discount on running shoes. You can also find quality running shoes at sporting goods stores like Dick's.
